Activities
Welcome to England's largest playground – the Lake District!
Whether you are one of life's adrenaline junkies or are looking for something a little more sedate it's all on your doorstep.
Walking
Exploring the Lake District on foot is a step back in time, see the world as Wainwright and many more before him did. If you are heading to the hills you can't beat the locations of our Lake District self-catering accommodation.
Free to Download PDFs coming soon. You can find a couple of suggested walks in your guest information on arrival or on our Pet Friendly page.
For something a little more challenging and sure to get the blood pumping try Gorge Walking. An experienced instructor will guide you along a river bed…expect to get wet as you jump into pools and climb waterfalls. Local company River Deep Mountain High are a good starting point if you want to find out more – 015395 28666.
Cycling
Road cyclists and mountain bikers find a slice of heaven in the Lakes. From quiet country roads to challenging trails there's something for anyone who wants to explore from the saddle.
Free to Download PDF's coming soon. Many of our team are keen cyclists, so just ask at Reception to get you started.
