On Lake Windermere

On Lake Windermere
England's largest, Lake Windermere offers a variety of activities for boaters. To the north of the Lake is the spectacular mountain scenery of the Central Lake District, dominated by the magnificent twin peaks of the Langdale Pikes. To the South of the Lake the picturesque wooded hills and rolling fells offer a delightful contrast to the majestic mountains of the North.

On Lake Windermere there are numerous bays, beaches and islands, which provide fantastic possibilities for exploration by boat. You can also visit the variety of pubs, hotels and restaurants who have public jetty access from the Lake shore. See our 'Things to Do' section for further details.

With Lakeside to the South of the Lake, Bowness in the centre and Ambleside in the North you are never far from something interesting to see and do.

Private Boat Charter

"Mistress" is a luxurious 50 foot Sealine T50 flybridge motor yacht, the only one of its kind available for charter on Lake Windermere.  "Mistress" is available for 2 hour, half day and full day charter and she comes complete with a fully stocked bar onboard dispensing beers, fine wines and champagnes.
